how do i start building a cat condo. building it in woodshop in shcool?

building

i need 2 know how 2 start builing a cat condo but i need 2 know how 2 strat it. have not made 1 before. can you help me 2 start building 1

Start at the bottom with the platform (base)

attach a pole to the base (for crawling up)

attach another platform to that where the cat can hide inside.

I would think it would be a lot more fun for the cat if the pole on the base was hollow so it crawl up inside or out.

Go on a search engine and search kittycondo or catcondo. I got more ideas when I used ask.com.

Good luck!

  3. Cats like to climb and be high. Some of them would prefer just a shelf up high, some like little cubby holes to hide in. Really depends on the cat. Maybe you could make a boxy area and a shelf area over that to satisfy both kinds of cats. Good luck!

I shall look for some information.
Maybe I can let you know later..
I will build one for kitten…with flat platform so she can lie down high.
Cats love to sit up high.

  5. Make it simple on yourself, forget that pole stuff. I saw one on eBay that I liked, but I didn’t want to pay the shipping, so I made one myself (bigger and better than the one on eBay, also).

Mine is castle-themed…..there’s a bottom floor, and 3 shelves inside a rectangular (tall) box. Large "windows" on each level, so she can look out and hop in/out through them. The top level is almost at the top, like the top of a tower. There is a gap on each of the 2 middle levels (the shelves only go 2/3 of the way across) so she can climb up between shelves to the top/bottom. All made with plywood on the horizontal shelves and vertical sides, and held together with screws and 2x2s. I also made cushions for each shelf, and painted the whole thing with a gray brick theme, edged the top to look like a castle tower. My cat loves her castle!! Just draw it out, including measurements, gather your tools together and start it up. Oh — I also put mine on wheels, so it could be moved around the house more easily.

Made one from scratch a few years ago.
