cat toys
I’m on the Petco website,
and I saw this toy that shoots a laser out for the cat to chase
I know laser can blind animals and people, so I’m wonder how safe this could be in case my kitten looks directly at the laser
also,
in your opinion what toys are best for cats/kittens?
It’s only a problem if the light shines directly into the eye. Cats chase the little red dot, they don’t generally go investigate the bit in your hand.
Personally, I like laser pointers, as well as the toys like fishing poles with feathers or sparkly thing sat the ends. Great for interactive play with your kitties.

cat scratching posts
I have an orange tabby, who is personality plus! He can have quite the attitude at times, but what cat doesn’t! My cat keeps scratching in two different spots and has shredded the carpet to the backing and large holes. He only performs these acts while we are all in bed!
Yes, I have tried scratch posts, scratch pads with cat nip in the bottom, you name it I have tried the most obvious!
Please help, open to any idea that has worked for you; and of course will not harm the cat in any way!
Thanks!!
invest in a spray bottle fill it with water and spray her everytime she does it shell stop she will notice no other time is she getting sprayed

cat condos
What is the best cast toy that your cat/kitten likes, plays with often, and is safe.
I’ve adopted a kitten, and have so far acquired: a one-story cat-condo (scratching post hide-away) and one of those cat tunnels that are covered in a cloth, and the inside is crinkly…
My cats are easily pleased. Crinkled paper or tin foil amuses them. They like to get into my knitting yarn – I once came home to my house set in a complicated trap from yarn being twisted around chairs and tables. Paper bags are great fun, as are pens (with caps on and supervision, of course). Really, anything that makes noise, slides, or provides a hiding place is great fun to them. I’ve also gotten toys at the pet store – I don’t get fake mice because a lot of them are made out of rabbit fur and we have a rabbit…we’re silly and deter them from making enemies with the rabbit that way. My one cat adores the Blitz TurboScratcher (I’m including link under sources for Petsmart, but a lot of these you can find in any pet store). They love the wands with the long feathers, streamers, or fabric scraps at the end. They also love bouncy balls (heck, get them for 25c out of a machine at the market) or balls with bells or rattles inside that make noise. With one of the balls that has holes in the sides (and a bell inside), I used a crochet hook and tied yarn through the openings so it added streamers – they loved that. One of the cats loves ping pong balls – we bounce them down the stairs and he chases and bats them around. They also have little stuffed toys (they do have a stuffed mouse) that they carry around and play with.

and

well i like the first one because it seems much more fun for a cat.

cat furniture
Do those sprays to keep your cat from scratching your furniture work? or has anyone had good luck with anything else?
I got the cat 2 scratch pads. It tried them once and now wont touch them.
Google the product and put "reviews" at the end of the product name. You’ll probably get some good info. I’m seeing very mixed reviews – seems like it worked extremely well for some and not at all for others..
