cat condo makes cats more independent?

I’m planning on buying a cat condo for my 2 cats. Will that make them not wanting to sleep with me on my bed at night? Will they like sleeping in cat condo better?
I want them to sleep on my bed at night.

Cat condos are just nice ways for your cat to relax during the day. They are fun for them to be in, but they shouldn’t make your cat want to sleep in that instead of your bed. I have 3 cats, who all have a cat condo. They enjoy staying there during the day, but will take me over it any day, or night I should say. If you see them sleeping in it, just pick them up and plop them on your bed. Pet them and just wait until they lay down on the bed. Nothing should change though. If they normally sleep in your bed, then they will continue to do that.

Has anyone bought one of those cat condos/cat trees?

off ebay? If you did, was it a good one? And do your cats like it? I don’t want to throw money away on something they won’t mess with.
If you got somewhere else, answer anyway. I really want to know if cats like these things. I’ve spent a small fortune on stuff my cats won’t bat an eye at.

Yes I bought one several years ago off of Ebay and it was cheaper than getting them from Petsmart. It was very nice and my cats loved it.

I would LOVE to get my 3 Kitties a nice big cat tree. Unfortunatly they are like $175 sooo does ANYONE know how to make one?
Please help me I have the next two day off of work and its going to be my project. lol. I want my cats to have something fun.

Cat toys, scratching posts/house?

I love doing projects and would rather make something than go out and buy something just so it’s unique. I am "owned" by two kittens and I was wondering if anyone had any creative ideas on how I could make their own unique toys, scratching posts, little cat condos, or the tubes they play in? Please list supplies as well and a website would be helpful, too. :) Thank you so much in advance!

Awesome cat condos/trees?

I want to get a really cool cat condo/tree for my cat and we are planning on adopting another cat soon. This will give us a total of 3 cats but the first cat would not be terribly interested in it at first but we are hoping to get her used to the new cats. I need a really cool cat condo/tree with little huts to sleep in, places to climb, little balls and ropes built in it for them to play with, being able to be used by multiple cats at once, at a reasonable price and from a website or store that is trustworthy. Thanks!

The problem with buying them online is that shipping can be killer since they’re pretty heavy. http://www.drsfostersmith.com and http://www.petedge.com have some nice and affordable ones. The problem, too, with the larger ones is that they take up a lot of space and then once they get ripped up by the cats, well, pretty ugly.

I have a simple perch for my cats that they love. It’s just a base covered in carpet, a post and then a platform. It’s big enough for one of them to sprawl out on and high enough for them to see out the window. I’d suggest just getting two or three of these and putting them around your home.
