I want to build my own cat condo but how?
I want to get a kit that has every thing that I need dose anyone now where I can get this!
I made mine with a fence post and plywood and covered it all with carpet applied with liquid nails and a staple gun.
On top, it had an open triangle, about a foot below was a platform with a hole in it, and a couple feet below that was another platform with a hole in it going the other direction. The base was a thicker piece of plywood.
I also hung toys off each platform.
It lasted for years! I copied one I saw in a pet store.

this is our cat condo in our garage. We built it 10 years ago to allow our cat to look out into the back yard without going out since he is de-clawed. It has worked great and it keeps any odor outside the house.

cat condo makes cats more independent?
I’m planning on buying a cat condo for my 2 cats. Will that make them not wanting to sleep with me on my bed at night? Will they like sleeping in cat condo better?

Cat condos are just nice ways for your cat to relax during the day. They are fun for them to be in, but they shouldn’t make your cat want to sleep in that instead of your bed. I have 3 cats, who all have a cat condo. They enjoy staying there during the day, but will take me over it any day, or night I should say. If you see them sleeping in it, just pick them up and plop them on your bed. Pet them and just wait until they lay down on the bed. Nothing should change though. If they normally sleep in your bed, then they will continue to do that.

Usually some kind of wood. A tree limb or small trunk, perhaps.
